Founded in 2000 in Milan, initiated and directed by Elisabetta Sgarbi, The Milanesiana aims to intersect different knowledge and arts, presenting to the general public the international excellences of the cultural and scientific world: Nobel laureates in literature and science, Oscar-winning filmmakers, and musicians who have received the highest international accolades. Over the years, the festival has increasingly expanded its areas of intervention and, in addition to Milan, takes place in various cities in Italy, including, for the past seven years, in Bormio.
Every year, The Milanesiana addresses a theme that characterizes and permeates the entire edition.
