Challenge yourself on the climbing routes around Bormio

There are lots of areas popular with climbers around Alta Valtellina, starting with the spectacular Crap de Scegn cliff in Valdidentro.

Alternatively, you could try out some routes beneath the medieval Fraele towers near Cancano, or in the chestnut forest in Migiondo, a 20-minute drive from Bormio. Or enjoy views of the Forni Glacier from the nearby crag in Valfurva.

And if the weather isn’t on your side, the climbing fun continues indoors: in Valfurva and Valdidentro you’ll find gyms dedicated exclusively to climbing, with routes ranging from beginner-friendly to challenging ones for experienced climbers, bouldering walls, and a welcoming, inspiring atmosphere for all ages. In Sondalo and Valdisotto, on the other hand, you can train on walls equipped with climbing routes of various difficulty levels, perfect for refining your technique or simply enjoying yourself in a safe environment.

Contact the local Alpine Guides to prepare for your outing and make the most of a fantastic experience in the Alps.
