Beyond the Stelvio

Want to conquer more climbs while you explore the Bormio area?

Other than the Stelvio, Gavia and Mortirolo passes, here are seven more incredible routes in and around the Stelvio National Park.

Seven climbs, one for each day of the week: every route has its own character, its own landscape, its own challenge.

The most popular? That would be the climb to the Cancano Lakes, with its spectacular switchbacks winding through the peaceful Valdidentro valley.
The longest? The ascent to Bormio 2000, which climbs gently from Bormio up to the well-known ski resort.
And the toughest? The Strada dei Forni in Alta Valtellina, with double-digit gradients that challenge even the most seasoned cyclists.
And then there’s Fumero, Monte, Le Motte, the Decauville... each with its own character, each with a reason to ride.

Pedaling through valleys, forests, and old mule tracks, you’ll discover an authentic and less-traveled side of the mountains.
In short, there’s something for every taste and every level. Scroll down to find all the climbs with details: click on the cards to explore the route, the difficulty, and—why not—choose your next challenge.
