The starting point is the village of San Martino, with the "Gigiàt" on the wall of a house welcoming you. The trail - marked by a brown sign - "for Val di Mello" starts beyond the houses of Via Vanoni and is in the woods, on the orographic right at the stream. The second detour on the left side of the trail is to follow to reach the road near a small chapel.

The locality of Ca' dei Rogni (M 1,019) with the Ferro waterfall mark the "real" entrance to Val di Mello, which after the parking lot in the locality of Ca' Panscer (M 1,061) is even more natural, with no traffic. The points of interest are indeed many; certainly for those who walk this route, the Qualido pond and the Bidet della Contessa, in dialect known as Burgùn, are worth mentioning - in order of passage. The Contessa - according to legend - was a young woman who loved to cool off in these waters. The localities - groups of stone houses - are all well integrated into the landscape and are: Ca' di Carna (M 1,076), Cascina Piana (M 1,092) with the peculiar hut "leaning" against a large boulder, and Rasica (M 1,160), the last nucleus on the valley floor.

The return follows the same route.

Il punto di partenza è il paese di San Martino, con il "Gigiàt" sul muro di una casa che dà il benvenuto. Il sentiero - segnalato da un cartello marrone - "per Val di Mello" inizia oltre le case di Via Vanoni ed è nel bosco, in destra orografica al torrente. La seconda deviazione sul lato sinistro del tracciato è da seguire per raggiungere la strada nei pressi di una cappelletta.

La località Ca' dei Rogni (M 1.019) con la cascata del Ferro segnano il "vero" ingresso in Val di Mello, che dopo il parcheggio in località Ca' Panscer (M 1.061) è ancora più naturale, senza traffico. I punti di interesse sono davvero tanti; sicuramente per chi percorre questo itinerario sono da segnalare - in ordine di passaggio - il laghetto del Qualido e il Bidet della Contessa, in dialetto noto come Burgùn. La Contessa - secondo la leggenda - era una giovane che amava rinfrescarsi in queste acque. Le località - gruppi di case in sasso - sono tutte ben integrate nel paesaggio e sono: Ca' di Carna (M 1.076), Cascina Piana (M 1.092) con la particolare baita "appoggiata" ad un grande masso, e Rasica (M 1.160), ultimo nucleo sul fondovalle.

Il ritorno segue lo stesso itinerario.

Der Ausgangspunkt ist das Dorf San Martino, mit dem "Gigiàt" an der Hauswand als Willkommenszeichen. Der Weg - gekennzeichnet durch ein braunes Schild - "per Val di Mello" beginnt hinter den Häusern der Via Vanoni und ist im Wald, auf der orographischen rechts des Baches. Die zweite Abzweigung auf der linken Seite des Weges ist zu folgen, um die Straße in der Nähe einer kleinen Kapelle zu erreichen.

Die Ortschaft Ca' dei Rogni (M 1.019) mit dem Ferro-Wasserfall markiert den "echten" Eingang zum Val di Mello, der nach dem Parkplatz in der Ortschaft Ca' Panscer (M 1.061) noch natürlicher und ohne Verkehr ist. Es gibt viele Sehenswürdigkeiten; für diejenigen, die dieser Route folgen, sind sicherlich der Qualido-See und das Bidet della Contessa, im Dialekt als Burgùn bekannt, erwähnenswert. Die Contessa - so die Legende - war eine junge Frau, die sich gerne in diesen Gewässern abkühlte. Die Dörfer - Gruppen von Steinhäusern - sind alle gut in die Landschaft integriert und sind: Ca' di Carna (M 1.076), Cascina Piana (M 1.092) mit seiner eigentümlichen Hütte, die an einen großen Felsen "gelehnt" ist, und Rasica (M 1.160), der letzte Ort in der Talsohle.

Der Rückweg erfolgt auf dem gleichen Weg.
