Founded in 1979 thanks to the Associazione Museo Vallivo della Valfurva and Mr Mario Testorelli, the ethnographic museum recounts the history, culture, traditions and knowledge of the valley through a display that recreates real environments and atmospheres.
The museum itinerary winds through the domestic environments (the room and the kitchen) and the spaces dedicated to the work of the craftsmen: carpenters, shoemakers, rope-makers, blacksmiths; other sections describe the household, agricultural and pastoral activities.
The mill, working, for the rye grinding and the wood-burning oven where bread is baked, is very evocative.
The life of the valley and its inhabitants is evoked by the objects collected in the sections dedicated to customs, school, devotion, mountains and mountaineering and the First World War.
