The queen race, which will allow the most intrepid to traverse all the iconic localities of the Grosina Valley.
Start at 5 a.m., climb to the Cross of Storile, passage to the Lake of Scattered Waters and then descent to Eita (first time gate). From here, with about 24 km and 2000 m. of positive elevation gain in your legs already, begins the climb that will take you up to the Vermulera Pass (2734 m a.s.l., the highest point of the entire race), passing through the nucleus of houses of Vermulera (1940 m a.s.l.), the Tres lakes (2200 m a.s.l.) and the beautiful Lake Venus (2410 m a.s.l.). The descent to the resort of Pian del Lac (2325 m a.s.l.) is steep but very runnable.
It is now time to enter the wild Val di Sacco, along the most technically complex stretch of the entire route, which after about 5km will take you to Sapelaccio Lake (2580 m a.s.l.), and from there to the characteristic Duilio bivouac. A descent that is very steep at first, and then gradually smoother, leads you to the building of Malghera (1964 m a.s.l., second time gate), from which you will ascend on the other side to the majestic namesake lake, to be circumvented and then return to Malghera and head back toward Val di Sacco, soon deviating onto the path that in about 8km of continuous and challenging ups and downs, the last muscular stretch, will allow you to reach the splendid alpine pasture of Biancadino (2260 m a.s.l.). The real climb is finally over, and athletes will finally be able to let go of their legs and unleash their remaining energy along the descent to Fusino (1,200 m a.s.l., last refreshment stop), through truly spectacular sections of trail that will touch on the Fopp resorts. From here, through a paved section that runs alongside the dam of the same name, we will rejoin the road leading to San Giacomo, where the last part of the race begins. The vision of the Visconti Castle will be the last gift before the finish line, sweet and well-deserved reward for all athletes who cross it.
