It follows Viale Italia to the Madonna di Tirano Basilica and climbs, along a steep path, to the Romanesque Chapel of Santa Perpetua. It continues along a path through the woods, crossing the border and descending to the RHB station of Campocologno (1:20 hours). From here it continues on country roads that sometimes follow the railway route leading close to the famous Brusio spiral viaduct (1:25 hours); directions lead to the RHB station, alternatively you can continue along a beautiful path that climbs through the woods and then, skirting the road, leads to the village of Miralago. The return can be done on foot along the same route or by the Bernina Red Train.
