The Viola piste in the Valdidentro

Gentle and relaxing. The Viola piste winds its way through the dense pine forest of the Valdidentro. From December to March, you can ski on a total of 10 km of pistes with relatively easy inclines, whilst you also have the opportunity to create your own course tailored to your capabilities and the distance you want to ski.

In the Valdidentro, in the flat, broad valley around Isolaccia and Pedenosso, you can ski for 10 km on the prepared pistes next to the Viola river, passing romantic mountain huts, wooden bridges and snowy forests.

An internationally-renowned piste for everyone

If you are a beginner and you are trying out this wonderful sport with your family, we recommend the Viola piste in the Valdidentro. The tourist piste is an easy course, comprising a 10 km loop with gentle inclines that add up to a total of 180 m of ascent. The design of the course, with well signed routes and detour options, means that you can create a loop that is tailored to you, based on the distance you want to ski and your capabilities. Generally, it is a quiet area, where you can learn to cross-country ski away from the crowds.

Thanks to its location, the Viola piste always has good snow conditions throughout the winter season. All of the loops start at the Ski Stadium at Baita Noa. The stadium also features a modern biathlon shooting range for use by athletes, as well as a building that houses the offices of the cross-country skiing instructors, a ski hire shop and a large changing rooms with storage facilities for your equipment.
