Open in both spring and summer the refuge is high in the Val Cedèc at the foot of imposing Gran Zebrù.
A stage stop on both the Ortler-Cevedale High Route and Tour of Mt. Confinale, and from the refuge, it is easy to visit a World War I military village.
Ideal strarting point for backcountry skiing trips, walks and MTB.
