Start near the detour to the Paradiso refuge in Plaghera and follow the quiet Gavia road that climbs with little incline surrounded by a beautiful forest of firs, larches and stone pines. After a hairpin bend the road goes to lap the ski slopes (At this point it is also possible to climb directly from the arrival of the Plaghera chairlift, passing to the left of the lift) and then enter halfway up the slope to the left, following the road as far as Ponte dell'Alpe (2289 m). Gradually diagonally heading west, climb the interrupted slopes until you reach the start of the Valle dell'Alpe ski lift near the ski slopes of the Santa Caterina Valfurva ski area. Once past the chairlift, follow the obvious vallecola to its end; at this point you lose a few meters of elevation gain and, having passed the stream bed, continue along the wide amphitheater of the upper part of Valle dell'Alpe. When you reach a plateau, go slightly to the right and overcome the only steep section of the climb and then continue more or less in the center of the valley until you reach the final stretch on the now slender Sobretta vedretta. In the vicinity of the lowest point between the two peaks of Sobretta, turn left, arriving easily at the summit.
