Located in the Stelvio National Park on the southern slope of Mount Reit, Fonte Pliniana is nestled in a romantic park. The area is freely accessible and is located between the structures of Bagni Nuovi and Bagni Vecchi. The forest leading to Fonte Pliniana was planted in the 19th century to make the stay of guests at the Bagni di Bormio more welcoming. Today the rich alpine vegetation, which consists of pines, larches, firs, gembers, mugho trees, and heather, is also home to species of Mediterranean flora that thrive thanks to the particularly temperate microclimate produced by the warm waters and excellent sunny exposure.
