From Sant'Antonio di Scianno, follow trail N196 to Alpe Gattonino. Here, take a right onto a track that climbs the grassy slope and enters Val Cadangola, leading to Alpe Vezzola, at the beginning of the homonymous plateau. It is a characteristic high plain with some partially renovated huts, surrounded by peaks such as Monte Trela and Dosso Rosaccio. Continue crossing the entire valley until reaching a fork: ascend to the right along trail N130 to reach the pastures at Alpe Trela. Now on an agricultural track, cross the stream and overlook Val Corta, a rocky gorge that allows admiring the geological layers along the slopes of Cima Doscopa. Cross Val Pettini, continue on the wide road that skirts the Cancano dams and Lago delle Scale until reaching the Fraele Towers. From here, descend along the switchbacks of the Cancano road and return to Sant'Antonio.
