From the parking lot near the Church of San Giacomo di Fraele in Cancano, Valdidentro, follow path N199 and in a few steps you reach Passo di Fraele, the watershed between the Adda and SpolInnDanube basins. The path descends for 1 km, reaching a fork. Continue to the right towards the exit of Val Mora. Crossing the northern alluvial deposits of Val Paolaccia, you surpass the cone of Val della Casina and reach Passo di Val Mora. Entering Swiss territory, continue through the wild gorge on the left bank of the stream up to the last narrow section opposite the terraces of Il Grass. Via a bridge, reach the right bank of the river and after a few hundred meters pass through Paluetta and cross the stream descending from Doss dal Termel. Shortly beyond, almost opposite Val Murtarol, you emerge onto the plateaus of Alp Mora. This itinerary is part of Strada d'Alemagna, also called the 'Road of Wine and Salt.'
