Starting point for this highly satisfying hike is the dirt road to the left just past the S. Giacomo refreshment house, at the mouth of the wild Pettini valley. Follow the signs to the Trela huts to reach the picturesque confluence of four verdant valleys, a place where delicious alpine cheeses are produced. The path on the left leads to the Bocche di Trela (m 2348 a.s.l.), giving the view a vast panorama as far as Valfurva. After descending in the direction of Case Vezzola, a junction invites you to go up the Vezzola valley on the right. After two kilometers along trail No. 176, a plateau on the right leads to the Trelina pass and, at the end of the descent, to the Trela huts. The most tired can at this point conclude the trip by retracing the morning's route; those who want to lengthen the route a little can take the Trela valley on the left and climb it until they meet, on the right, a path leading to the bocchetta di valle Lunga (m 2335 a.s.l.). From here the descent through the little valley of the same name shortly intercepts the Pettini valley road, traveled at the beginning of the trip.
