You walk along the Decauville towards Vedello for about 500 meters until the signposted fork for Le Corne above the first artificial tunnel. From here, you ascend following the signs for trail no. 257, first reaching Corna Bassa, then Corna Alta, and finally the panoramic alpine pasture of Campiolo. After passing the pasture, you cross the Pessa stream and arrive at the pastures above Legno Marcio where you intersect the Pessa forest road. The route then continues downhill passing between the houses of Legno Marcio, following the carriage road for a stretch and then diverting to the Sciu'ca trail towards Gaggio.
