Starting from the junction to the locality of Boscopiano along the Stelvio Pass Road, just after the Bagni Vecchi thermal baths of Bormio, continue to the equipped picnic area; after passing it, at the junction take the path on the left, then cross the Adda river. The ascent begins with hairpin bends, passing a short interrupted tunnel, then other remains of buildings and finally a beautiful panoramic terrace with unusual and truly unique views of the steep and majestic walls of the Braulio Valley and the winding Stelvio road; then you reach the highest point of the route (about 1,700 m). Ignoring the proposed detour towards Lake Scale, continue descending towards Premadio through a dense pine forest, encountering other remains of an ancient farmhouse along the way.
