Stelvio Family Trek: Loop Bormio - Ciuk - Piatta

This loop itinerary takes you from the center of Bormio to discover the surroundings of the town with a varied and scenic route, suitable for families and walkers with a good level of physical fitness. Especially the first part, though simple, presents significant slopes.

The hike begins with an ascent from the heart of the town towards Feleit and Campolungo, crossing charming wooded areas that provide cool shelter on hotter days.

The trail, well marked, winds over slopes varying between steep stretches and some gentler ones: the Camplong vantage point will allow you to enjoy the landscape without too much effort. Once you reach the tourist locality of Ciuk, a spectacular view opens over the surrounding peaks and the entire Bormio basin. The return follows a comfortable carriageable road descending first to San Pietro and, passing by the little Church, up to the hamlet of Piatta and from there, following the last stretch of road to Bormio 2,000, returns to the starting point.
