A fairly short but difficult route due to its gradients with some quite long stretches of about 15% that require help from mediumhigh pedal assist. You ride up from San Giuseppe on tarmac to Barchi, make the short climb up the ski slope and turn off to the left along a rough track with some very steep parts that leads to the lake and Rifugio Palu'. After riding around the lake on the right-hand bank, continue along the service ski track that will bring you first to Passo di Campolungo and then to Monte Motta, again fairly steep. At the top you get a 360 view of all of Valmalenco. From Passo Campolungo you can link up with the Campo Moro dams' area following rough tracks and trails, but returning along the same route may require the use of a second battery. You can also complete the entire round trip starting from Chiesa.
San Giuseppe, Barchi, Lago Palu', Sasso Alto (MTB-EMTB)
