Near the parking area of San Giuseppe chairlift, take the dirt road starting from the bridge. After some hairpin turns among conifer woods, reach Barchi locality, where the route becomes a trail running for a short distance along what in winter is a ski slope. By turning left, leaving the wide slope, and zigzagging through the wood until the altitude gradually decreases, reach the finish line. As a reward, here is suddenly the lake (1921 m a.s.l.) where it is possible to have a refreshing bath in summer. Not to mention the unique view from Palu' lodge - left of the lake - for those who come from the trail; half an hour walking along the shores gives magnificent sights. The return offers two options: the same route done, or the trail right the end of the descent to the lodge which runs through the woods passing by Zocca, Barchetto and Paluetto localities. Following this wonderful grass hollow on the left, join the original route in a short time.
Palu' Lake, a blue pearl in the center of Valmalenco.
