The hike starts in Valdisotto in the locality Boss above San Bartolomeo, near the artificial tunnel and ascends along trail S534. Immediately, it crosses the Mala stream and enters the forest. The path has a fairly steep slope up to Prades and is characterized by passages close to rocks with drops of a few tens of meters; the trail is not recommended for people who suffer from vertigo. From here, the route becomes flatter and continues immersed in the dense forest. Further ahead, it passes the locality Presure and climbs until reaching Oultoir, where it is possible to see rustic mountain huts surrounded by grassy expanses with several specimens of grazing livestock. Tall slender trees tower over the environment.
