A walk that allows you to admire two beautiful waterfalls, on a completely pedestrian path 1.3 kilometers long with 150 meters of downhill elevation: this is the excursion from Madesimo to Pianazzo, a small hamlet at 1399 meters above sea level. It is an easy walk, also suitable for strollers and illuminated at night. Along the way you encounter the Cascata del Catino and the Cascata di Pianazzo. The first has a drop of about 100 meters, is fed by the waters of the Scalcoggia stream, and its name derives from the shape the rock has taken after water erosion. The second is the highest in Valchiavenna with a drop of 180 meters: the end of the walk is right on the viewpoint to admire even more its power.
