The trail S492 branches off from the provincial road at Bolladore, skirts the meadows for a short stretch to Nalunt, then enters the forest of firs and larches following the ridge of the rocky cliffs overlooking Boscaccia. It crosses more meadows up to the hills where the charming and characteristic village of Taron stands. The sunny location of the places offers a mild climate even in winter; from here you can enjoy the view of the valley, from Migiondo to Valchiosa. From Taron the mule track leads to the edge of the meadows and a birch forest heading towards Piata Picena. There is a tight hairpin turn to the right, then the trail climbs steeply with Piata Grenda on our left and enters a dense fir forest. The trail passes above Malga Mezzano, reaching first Medola then Madrisc. From here there is a complete view of Alta Valtellina from Tirano to Bormio.
