Dazio Colmen a Mediterranean oasis in the heart of the Alps. From the parking area of Dazio Cemetery (557 m a.s.l.), take the dirt road on the left running through wide grasslands towards the Colmen (white and red markers no. 5). The route in the woods passes through Crotto locality and decisively climbs up to the summit. Before reaching the destination, at some rocks near a turn one can enjoy a magnificent view over all Middle Valtellina, Sondrio and more; on the summit (921 m a.s.l.), the clearings among the shady woods exhort to have the deserved rest. And certainly, there is no shortage of wonderful views over the valley from La Casermetta lodge which, located exactly at the summit, takes its name from a military post built during World War I. To come back, follow the mount ridge westwards (trail no. 8), where there are small seasonal lakes very important to the several deers living in Colmen protected area. From Bocc locality characterized by the tunnels of the ancient iron mine - take the trail no. 6 to descend the northern slope of the mountain towards the town.
