From the Berni mountain hut, follow the trail that crosses the picturesque stone bridge, then climb toward Dosso Tresero, a stunning viewpoint above Santa Caterina Valfurva, offering a spectacular view of the valley below. From Dosso Tresero, continue downhill along the “Romantica” trail, a pleasant winding path nestled in a forest of larch and fir trees, which gradually leads down to the valley floor and the village of Santa Caterina.

This route combines history, high-altitude views, and alpine nature, making it ideal for those who wish to explore the Valfurva on a long and scenic hike from the Gavia Pass.
