Fun route on the Orobic side. You leave the car at Rifugio Le Piane (transit permit issued by the Municipality of Piateda is required) and enter the Armisola Valley. After a short up and down, you reach Alpe Armisola, following a wooden walkway crossing the pasture until reaching a wooden bridge over the Serio stream. At this point you can choose the less demanding path, turning left and, after passing the mountain huts, follow the signs for the Grioni. Or, for the braver, after the little bridge keep to the right climbing towards the Rodes Valley. Along the ascent you meet the abandoned pastures ''Piateda di Sotto'' and ''Piateda di Sopra''. The path is quite steep and you must pay attention to the signs to avoid going off track. At about 2050 meters altitude, keep left, and start descending on a panoramic path from where the head of Monte Disgrazia is perfectly visible. Once you reach Rifugio Gino e Massimo (at about 1850 meters) in loc. Grioni you can stop to rest. From here it is then possible to return to Armisola by a comfortable forest path and then retrace the ascent route.
