From Combo Square in Bormio, you climb five hairpin bends on the paved road leading to the Bormio 2000 area. Before reaching the village of San Pietro, take the flat dirt path S540 which crosses the famous Stelvio slope until you reach the Campolungo locality. The trail is characterized by smooth ups and downs immersed in a dense forest with enchanting panoramic openings, then it gradually becomes more challenging up to Calvarana. From Calvarana, you descend on a compact and flowing terrain arriving at the village of Sant'Antonio Valfurva. Continue along the state road to the village of Uzza where it is possible to continue on path S540.2 which crosses the Carosa bridge and returns to Combo Square passing by the Church of the Blessed Virgin of Sassello.
