From the Malga dell'Alpe, follow the new path S519 over the Gavia Pass State Road 300 to the junction with the dirt road that leads to its crossing. Here you descend from the new path that first crosses the Gavia State Road ( WARNING!!) and continues winding through the forest until it crosses the dirt road that leads to the Ponte delle Vacche picnic area. From here you descend until you cross the Gavia valley and then ascend along the S561 trail to Alpe Tresero, which is still in disuse, and continue to the Tresero hump where you can stop for a picnic snack and admire the vast panorama of Valfurva, after a selfie with the stage totem! We continue along path S525 that leads first to the pastures of Alpe Cerena and then to Rifugio Stella Alpina where you can recharge your strength and batteries. From here the stage continues along the paved road that leads to Rifugio Forni, the start of stage 9.
