The stage is of medium difficulty, 12.6 km long and starts from the Fontanaccia parking lot at the mouth of the Rezzalo Valley, above the village of Frontale in Sondalo.Initially, the itinerary climbs up through the forest until it reaches the characteristic Baite Pontela huts to continue on the recently restored S519 trail to the locality of Teat, and then rejoins the dirt road that crosses the picturesque Val di Rezzalo, taking you to the locality of San Bernardo. After the little church of the same name, it is possible to make a stop at the Rifugio la Baita or two picnic areas can be found along the way. Continue to the panoramic terrace of Clevio from which you overlook the Rezzalo Valley. Here begins the military mule track that reaches Passo dell'Alpe 2462 mt, the highest point of the itinerary, and descends to the Malga dell'Alpe where it is possible to eat or stay overnight.
