Bormio 360 Trekking - Stage 3 - Trail of the Count

A medium-length but very rewarding stage with a rich variety of views and environments. It starts with a cool flat section, then descends along the road to Val Verva and climbs up to the maggengo Verva Bassa. From here the trail detaches from the road and crosses the Rio Verva along trail N289 entering the Bosco del Conte. When you reach Val Cardonè, continue on the road that will take you to Alpe Boron, where you can refresh and also stay. The trail continues along the roadway to Alpe Prei and then circumnavigates Dosso le Pone and reaches Alpe le Pone, a panoramic point over Valdidentro. One last effort, and continuing along path N209 you reach the top of the slopes of the Valdidentro ski resort, and from there following the obvious trail to the scenic Malga San Colombano.

From the Malga to descend to the Oga Fort where it is possible to have the car and summer public transport takes 1:20 hours of walking.
