From the Sant'Antonio bridge, take the S550 carriageable road, which climbs up to the lower Calvarana huts. Continue along the route until, near the Val Calvarana, you reach a fork: continue straight into the dense forest, cross the stream along the S522 mule track and, after passing Sobrettorca, after a long traverse, you reach the forest road near the Lower Sobretta Mountains. Follow the trail uphill, with an initial steep climb and some hairpin bends. The route continues more gently along the S543 path and crosses the Val di Calvarana then levels out for a long stretch in the beautiful stone pine forest of Vallecetta until emerging near the buildings and ski lifts of Bormio 2000.
