A hike in Val Alpisella, in addition to giving the opportunity to immerse oneself in its unspoiled nature while admiring the beauty of the landscape in which some characteristic and small high-altitude alpine lakes stand out, also allows one to go in search of the source of the Adda River, which has its source right among these peaks. A sign indicates the exact point of the source (2102 m.) that gives life to the most important river in Lombardy, which here is only a small stream. These springs, flow directly from underground on the slopes of Pizzo Aguzzo (2572 m.). At the top of the valley, on the other hand, is the pass of the same name where there is a pretty little lake and an alpine hut: from here begins the slope leading up to Livigno.
