A very varied trail running route that allows you to explore the Oga and San Colombano slopes, taking in a variety of natural settings, panoramic views of the Bormio basin, and interesting historical sites.

The starting point is in the village of Tres, near the Seghetto junction. From here, you enter the Val di Fochin, beginning the route’s main ascent through the woods.

You gradually gain elevation until you reach the new firebreak road—which is particularly pleasant to run along—leading to the Paluaccio di Oga area. This small protected natural area represents one of the most unique environments along the route: an alpine peat bog surrounded by forest, prized for the biodiversity it preserves.

Not far away, you’ll reach Forte Venini di Oga, built in the early 20th century in a strategic position to control the main access routes to the Upper Valtellina. It’s worth taking a brief break to admire the structure and the view that opens up over the Bormio basin and the surrounding mountains.

From the fort, the route changes character and winds its way down through a network of trails toward the village of Oga. Once you reach the village center, continue along the trail toward the San Colombano ski area, passing through meadows, woods, and some sections of the ski slopes.

The final part of the loop is mostly downhill and on terrain that’s very easy to run on. Passing behind the Corva area, a series of trails and dirt roads finally leads you back toward Seghetto, completing the loop.

It’s a well-rounded and enjoyable route, particularly well-suited for those looking for a training trail away from the more crowded paths, in a peaceful setting that offers a beautiful blend of nature, history, and scenery.
