The path begins just above the departure of the Magnolta cable car, looking at the black run on the right. You pass near a dilapidated hut and climb until you reach the locality of Foppe, where by ascending the meadows and keeping the ski slope always on the left, you eventually reach the road that in summer leads to the Malga Magnolta.
We follow the road that climbs through the forest and pass the locality of Corna with wide panoramas over the central Valtellina. After passing some hairpin bends, the road heads east and at the signpost we turn onto a path that climbs on the right inside a fir forest. The route in this stretch develops among small clearings and increasingly sparse woods until reaching the wide clearing of Malga Magnolta with an incredible view over the head of Val Belviso and Lake Belviso.
The descent is made on groomed slopes and brings us back to the village.
To tackle this excursion it is recommended to have standard ski mountaineering equipment (ARTVA shovel and probe) and also to consult the snow-meteorological bulletin.
