Classic MTB loop in the heart of the Orobie, whose destination and highest point of the itinerary is the Armisola, an alpine pasture at 1,630 m, dividing the Municipalities of Piateda and Ponte in Valtellina. The route starts from Loc. Gaggio di Piateda at about 1,050 m and climbs along the forest road following the signs to the Refuge at Le Piane. From here, follow the well-marked path that leads to the Armisola pastures with the recent wooden footbridge that allows you to cross the pastures safely and admire a suggestive scenery. Then descend along the forest trail that leads to the Decauville and from there a comfortable return on the flat road.
