The route winds through Val d'Aringa, one of the most scenic valleys in the Orobie mountain range. It starts from the Ponte railway station and follows the first part up to Fontaniva-Arigna on asphalt with consistent slopes around 8%. The road continues on a compact dirt surface and enters the valley with long straight stretches until it reaches the Armisa power plant. From the parking lot above the plant begins the steepest climb on a dirt and partially cemented path that, after a little more than 3 kilometers, emerges at Foppe on the upper plateau of the valley. The trail continues on a rough and steep mule track (up to 20%), arriving at the Prataccio huts, immersed in the wild and high-altitude amphitheater of the Druet Peaks, Pizzo Coca with the Dente, and the Lupo glacier. At Foppe, you can turn left onto a dirt road that leads up to the Campei hut.
