In the Facebook page information of the small village of Ambria (Piateda) it reads: The village of Ambria is a genuine urban jewel nestled among shady peaks, abundant watercourses, waterfalls, and towering forests. A village that smells of the past, lost among the mountains, where peace, rest, and tranquility reign. Here are the reasons that drive one to face this climb. The first part, up to the junction for Vedello, is on asphalt with a low and regular slope; the asphalt road that then runs through the Val Venina can be monotonous and steeper. After the settlement and the Vedello plant, turn right onto the hairpin bends of the dirt road leading to the core of Ambria. At the junction, you can instead decide to go left, pass the group of houses of Agneda in Val Caronno, and finally climb to the artificial lake of Scais, where you can admire the surrounding peaks and glaciers (Pizzo del Salto, Redorta, Porola, and Scais)
