The Cornin Bike Trail starts from Grosotto (620 m). Take the paved road on the Rhaetian side following the signs for Supiane, Dovere and Alpe Piana. It is a decidedly challenging climb with an average of 9%. Short flat stretches alternate with stretches that often exceed 14% up to a maximum of 20%. Up to Dovere Alte it is possible to go up with the shuttles, the road is a bit narrow but the ground is always optimal. From here it is preferable to continue in the saddle of your MTB going up another 2 km with short very steep sections, then, turn left for the locality Carette. We are at 1820 meters above sea level. In this short stretch we pass on the Italy path marked with the nr. 201, we pass the Carette and its hut, up to the Forcoleta locality at 2074 meters above sea level (the highest point of the entire route). We leave the Italy path and go down to the left through the pasture, enter the wood and continue along a descent with short technical passages that takes us to the locality of Taoleti, and then continue towards Piaz and Fop. Alternatively, you can detour towards Chemp de Solez and Scernigh, and then reconnect to Fop. Here the view is extraordinary, we are facing the Mortirolo pass and our gaze can sweep over a large stretch of the spectacular mountains of the medium-high Valtellina of the Orobic side. After a short downhill stretch on the Piaz-Fop local road, we arrive at the beginning of the most interesting part of the descent: 600 m of altitude difference on 65 hairpin bends of a First World War military mule track that can be tackled on your own MTB only having a good descent technique. A true work of engineering art from a hundred years ago. We cross an old concrete road and, a little further down, the asphalted road we traveled on during the climb. We go down again for some hairpin bends up to an altitude of 900 m and we are in Val di Tei. On this path you feel continuous emotions, the landscape changes again, the flat, wide and soft-bottomed path accompanies us for a few hundred meters in the shade of ancient pines and firs. Then comes the very scenic and bright stretch overlooking the Roasco stream. We come to the ''bocheta'' of the Val di Tei. Here we can choose the difficult route by going left along a stretch with gradients close to 50% (Val di Scala), impossible to follow in case of wet ground, or, going right, a less demanding route which, after a short climb, it takes us back to the asphalted road that we traveled up and from here to the town of Grosotto. At the end of the steep section we follow the mule track until we reach the village near the Sanctuary of the Madonna delle Grazie.
