The first stretch of the route starting from Campo Franscia is entirely on paved road that climbs with regular gradient and is accessible. After about five kilometers, you turn right onto a dirt and cemented road, which immediately enters a beautiful forest and continues with steep hairpin bends until it emerges at Alpe Campascio. The itinerary continues on a dirt road with a compact surface up to Alpe Campagneda, with wide views of the surrounding mountains, especially the looming silhouette of Pizzo Scalino. Passing the mountain huts (farmhouse) and a Refuge, you go through a steep stretch and turn right just before reaching the Campagneda stallion. The road becomes rougher, makes some traverses, some short steep climbs, and finally reaches the splendid Alpe Prabello, where huts, Refuge and a little church are dominated by Pizzo Scalino.
