Bormio 2000 Calvarana

Start on dirt road trail no. 543 from the Bormio 2000 parking lot at 1943 m towards east, cross the slopes and almost immediately enter the woods pedaling on a slight and steady climb. After the Baita Pozzo dell'Acqua at 2070 m, encounter your first right fork leading up to Monte Sobrettina, instead begin the descent to the left on track no. 543.2, still leaving to the right the road that goes to Val Sobretta trail no. 518, and with some steep switchbacks arrive at the 1740 m crossroads. From here it is also possible to descend directly into Valfurva following the no. 518 trail, while we turn sharply left onto the dirt road that descends to Calvarana trail no. 522. Just before its beautiful huts, the steep trail no. 550 begins on the right leading to Sant'Antonio Valfurva. Going straight instead, pass through Plazzo at 1510 m and La Poce at 1590 m with a rolling route and arrive at Campolungo at 1480 m, from where you descend quickly to the Combo district of Bormio.
