In this itinerary, one must consider not only the very high average and maximum slope, but above all keep in mind the significant length of the sections that require the use of medium-high motor assistance. It was decided to start the itinerary from the parking lot at an altitude of 1500 to avoid starting from Tresivio and facing an additional elevation gain of 1000 meters with full battery consumption, in the absence of a high level of training. Just after Boirolo, the paved road climbs steeply up the slope and continues along the ridge, entering the right side of the Rogneda valley where the first farmhouse is located. Another steep section and a leftward traverse lead to Alpe Rogneda. From here, you pedal on a rough dirt road, but less steep, up to below the Bocchetta di Mara (last 50 meters on a trail), from where the view opens up to the surrounding mountains and the Valtellina.
