The 18 km tour includes all the elements that effectively represent the Cech Coast, particularly the area that ranges from the valley floor up to the mid-slope villages at almost 800 m altitude.
The loop route starts and ends in Morbegno, with the Ponte di Ganda that "crosses" the Adda river. The road must be crossed carefully and followed briefly until you meet the red signs with the bike symbol (right). The climb goes through the beautiful hamlets of San Bello and Santa Croce (Civo), then – beyond the houses of the latter – descends through the scattered settlement of Corlazzo: vineyards, shrines, and a well-preserved 17th-century wine press. The climb along Provincial Road 6 detours to the Castle of Domofole, an archaeological site in a truly panoramic position. The route passes through the villages of Mello and Civo; a mandatory stop is the San Bernardino Chapel with views over Morbegno and the opposite Orobie mountains.
The long descent to Morbegno, nearly 7 km in total, consists of a series of hairpin bends with truly bucolic views, especially in autumn: chestnut woods, dry stone walls, stone houses, little chapels. The final photo at the top of the Ponte di Ganda marks the end of the tour.
