From Arnoga in Valdidentro (1,880 m), take the trail marked No. 290. At the first fork, immediately after a hill, head down into the valley to the left, following trail marker No. 201, passing through the hamlets of Basic, Alpe Campo (1,910 m), and Paluetta (1,900 m). Once at the valley floor, cross the Viola stream (1,850 m) via a bridge and enter Val Verva after passing through Verva Bassa (1,960 m). Staying on the dirt road, you’ll then reach Alpe Verva (2,123 m), where you can stop to sample traditional local dishes. Leave the grassy gully leading to Passo Corno delle Pecore on your left. The route continues, climbing gradually along the left bank, though there are short steeper sections, and it feels as if you’ll never reach the pass. Once you reach Passo di Verva (2,301 m), a steady descent awaits along a winding road that first passes by the huts at Le Crote (2,168 m), where you can see the remains of trenches and caves, then passes above the Falck Refuge (1,930 m) and finally reaches Eita in Val Grosina (1,697 m). From here, you can descend along the paved road or, if your legs are still up to it, follow the magnificent LaGrosina trail.
