The itinerary is entirely on asphalt and has an average slope accessible with stretches that slightly exceed 10%. It starts from Tirano along state road 38 towards Bormio. At the city exit, at a junction, turn right (signs for Cologna and Trivigno) and continue uphill with a constant slope, first through apple orchards and then through beautiful woods. After about 11 kilometers and many hairpin bends, there is another right turn to Trivigno which is reached via a long traverse passing the group of huts at Cabrella. For the descent, follow the road to San Rocco, a small village that can be visited with a short left turn. The itinerary continues to the right with a long crossing passing Piscina, Canali, and near Forte Sertoli, rejoining the ascent route. Texts and photos by Federico Pollini.
