With this stage we will reach the Longoni refuge, effectively entering the Bernina group. From the Ventina alp you reach the valley floor, the Forbicina and Laresin alps entering the wild Val Sissone which is ascended crossing woods, pastures, and finally the moraines that precede the Del Grande-Camerini refuge. From this balcony on the north face of Monte Disgrazia you descend passing the Vazzeda alps and, after crossing the stream thanks to a small bridge, you go down towards the village of Chiareggio. After passing the small church whose front displays a plaque in memory of the famous mountaineer Ettore Castiglioni and his tragic end, you ascend towards the Fora alp, from which a tough climb leads to the Piani di Fora. The suggestive glacial origin plateau is skirted towards the northwest, intercepting the path that leads shortly to the Longoni Refuge. Alternatively, if you prefer not to lose too much altitude descending to Chiareggio, from the Upper Vazzeda Alp it is possible to reach the opposite Oro alp which you leave continuing along the ridge towards the Fora Alp and the Longoni refuge.
