This medium-length stage, practically flat, transfers the Sentiero Italia from the shore of Lake Como to the entrance of Valchiavenna and towards the slopes overlooking the first stretch of the Valtellina. From Sorico, whose two waterfalls are worth visiting, the route continues along sections of road and trail to Lake Mezzola, passing along its eastern shore past the settlements of Verceia, Campo, and reaching Novate Mezzola.
