A walk through history

Explore the town center calmly, taking your time to observe the ancient doors with their characteristic bolts, the towers, and the frescoes. Through medieval alleys, you will get in touch with our history and discover evocative views, small squares with characteristic fountains, and our way of living the Alps.

Today as in the past, the beating heart of the town is the ancient Piazza del Kuerc. Here you find the town’s iconic monuments such as the soaring civic tower which with its big clock marks the life of the people of Bormio and the Kuerc, the place where once, during Bormio’s autonomy era, justice was administered. In the square, of course, you will also find Bormio’s main church, the Church of Saints Gervasio and Protasio, a true reference point for the people of Bormio.
