In cima, riunito in poche case, sorge il borgo di Pianazzola, baciato dal sole anche d’inverno e adagiato in un punto panoramico.

L'itinerario parte dal centro di Chiavenna, nove sono i tornanti e quasi 5 i Km che conducono al villaggio, situato a 635 m di quota, regalando un panorama unico: un vero e proprio balcone che si affaccia sulla Valchiavenna e sulla val Bregaglia.

Salita percorrbile durante tutto l'anno, completamente asfaltata ed esposta al sole fino all'imbrunire.

Il primo tratto di circa un kilometro è assolutamente pedalabile, dopodichè inizia leggermente a salire toccando una pendenza massima di 7%.
