The snowshoe walk in Pian di Gembro

The Pian di Gembro area offers the opportunity to walk on an easy route, with little altitude difference and above all to observe Aprica from above with the peaks of the Eastern Orobie, among which stands out Monte Torena.

At the Natural Reserve of Pian di Gembro, after leaving the car near the Pian di Gembro Refreshment Point, you will find the trailhead: the loop route is enriched by panels highlighting the botanical, geological and historical characteristics of this wetland area and it gently winds, sometimes through fir forests, until reaching an incredible panoramic point over the Valtellina near the church of San Fortunato.

To face the route it is recommended to use standard snow hiking equipment (snowshoes, poles or possibly crampons).
