The path of Mount Giovello

Climbing from the road to Trivigno, we leave the car at the junction that takes us to the locality "Panizza - Alpe Strencia." After a few slightly uphill switchbacks, the road heads eastward reaching the locality "Alpe Strencia." In this part of the route the forest is very open and the views of the surrounding peaks are breathtaking. From here it continues following the route to the right, on the southern slope of Monte Giovello, giving the opportunity to enjoy a unique panorama of the Orobie Valtellinesi Alps chain. Reaching the Valle del Santo, keep to the left and reach skirting the ring of the Trivigno cross-country ski trail, the little house used as a changing room for cross-country skiers.

Normal snow hiking equipment (snowshoes, poles or possibly crampons) is recommended.
