The Gentle Wood Trail is an easy loop trail offering scenic views of Valtellina and the Rhaetian Alps. From the starting station of the Magnolta cable car, after crossing the bridge over the Aprica stream, take a short stretch of Via Clef and, turning left at the first fork, follow the signs for the Gentle Wood Trail: from this point begins a gradual gentle ascent leading first to Corna Bassa and then to the huts of Corna Alta, at 1420 m above sea level, the highest point reached by the hike.

Along the route, you are accompanied by some panels created by the children of the Aprica primary school, presenting a series of useful tips on how to correctly approach a mountain hike.

The trail does not present technical difficulties and it is recommended to have standard snow hiking equipment (snowshoes, poles, or possibly crampons) to tackle it.
